Lhasa is the spiritual, political and economic centre of Tibet. It is the administrative capital of Tibet. With the history of more than 1300 years, Lhasa is situated at an altitude of 3600m above sea level at the northern bank of Kyichu river which makes it one of the highest cities in the world. One can also enjoy scenic beauty from Lhasa as it lies at the center of Tibetan plateau with surrounding mountains. Lhasa city has many old monasteries and temples that preserve historical relics, Buddhist scriptures, arts and crafts. The everyday life of Tibetans still involves old ancient culture, traditions, custom and religion. People make pilgrimage to these holy sites. Potala palace, Nrobulingka Palace, Sera Monastery, Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple are the main attractions of this city.
Lhasa tour begins once we make a spectacular flight across Kathmandu to Lhasa. We can see long range of Himalayas during the flight. In Lhasa we will visit Jokhang temple, holiest man made architecture of Tibet. Drepung monastery located in the west suburb is one of the three greatest and largest of all Tibetan monastery. Sera monastery, Drepung monastery and Ganden monastery are the most famous monasteries in the city. Built around 200 years ago, the Norbulingka palace used to be the summer palace of Dalai Lama. It is the most beautiful and largest man made garden in Tibet. We will also do the sightseeing of the famous Potala palace, former winter palace of Dalai Lama. We will also walk around the traditional market place of Bharkhor Street and visit other places like Ramoche temple, Yerpa, Nechung, Tibet museum, Mindroling monastery.
While enjoying religious atmosphere in Lhasa we can also have a Panoramic Himalayan views. We can also explore lake scenery, mountain side monasteries and short trekking around Lhasa if we have more time. Finally we return back to Kathmandu via flight or further into the China as per your plan. Lhasa tour is a short holiday extending from 4 to 8 days. It is an opportunity to observe the best of the Tibetan culture and lifestyle. Best time for tour is March to November.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Onto your arrival our company representatives will greet you at the Tribhuwan International Airport and escort you to the hotel for check-in and stay overnight. You will have a rest at the hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel in Kathmandu
Day 02: Sightseeing at Kathmandu and Bhaktapur City
After your breakfast at hotel we drive for sightseeing in Kathmandu, Including Pashupatinath Temple (The Biggest Hindu Temple), Guheshwori Devi and Sleeping Vishnu (Buddhanilkantha) and after temple tour drive back to hotel. Lunch and free for your own. Dinner at Hotel, Overnight stay at Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Kerung
Today after breakfast,we will start our drive to Kerung (boarder side) via syabrubesi . Overnight stay at Kerung
Day 04: Drive from Kerung to Tingri
After breakfast at guesthouse the exciting day starts with an adventure drive through lush, green lower hills into the dry, arid landscape of the Tibetan Plateau. The drive crosses several high passes including the Lalung La 5050m from where you can have a breathtaking panorama of the Himalayan range including Mt Everest - a fitting backdrop to the vastness of the Tibetan Plateau. Day 05: Drive from Tingri to Shigatse(3900m), 245km
After breakfast you will continue your adventure drive passing by lonely monasteries and the camps of Nomadic herders. The drive crosses the highest pass of your journey, the Gyamtso La 5220m before descending once more to the barren splendor of the plains. Overnight at hotel in Shigatse – the second largest city of Tibet
Day 06: Drive from Shigatse to Gyantse(3950m), 90 km
Today will have a great chance to visit stunning Tashilungpo Monastery, one of the largest functioning monasteries in Tibet, just before short and scenic drive to Gyantse - another historical city in Tibet. In Gyantse, you will visit the Pelkor Chode Monastery and the Gyantse Kumbum. Kumbum is a large gold-domed stupa. It is famous for its many chapels house an impressive array of Tibetan Buddhist murals. Overnight at hotel
Day 07: Drive from Gyantse to Lhasa(3680m), 265km
After breakfast, start a long drive crossing the Karo La pass 5045m, from where your are treated to the awesome sight of a huge glacier tumbling down to within a few hundred meters of the road. The road follows the bank of a beautiful turquoise lake; the Yamdrok-tso, for about 20 Km. The trip crosses the Khamba La 4794m, and continues on to Lhasa the capital of Tibet. Overnight at hotel
Day 08: Sightseeing In Lhasa
After breakfast in the morning, you will have an easy visit to Jokhang temple. This temple is the most revered shrine in all of Tibet and is constantly bustling with devout worshipers. After lunch in the afternoon, you will visit Sera Monastery, a fifteenth century sprawl of golden roofs and whitewashed walls. The well preserved monastery is located just a few miles North of Lhasa and is home to several hundred monks. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09: Sightseeing in Lhasa
After breakfast, group will be led by Tibetan guide to visit the vital Potala Palace. The palace is Lhasa's cardinal landmark and is a wonder of Eastern architecture. Your first site of this massive structure will be a magical moment remembered for years to come. It has been a palace since the fifth or sixth century and was once home to the Dalai Lama. In the afternoon you will visit to the Drepung Monastery. Once the world's largest monastery, home to 10,000 monks, Drepung monastery situated hidden in rocky ridges just beyond the city. Day 10: Fly back to Kathmandu (1300m)
Leave Lhasa early in the morning for the 2 hour drive to Gonggar Airport and flight back to Kathmandu or onward destination.
Day 11: Transfer to the airport for the final departure
