Detail Itinerary of Everest Base Camp Short Trek

Day 01: Kathmandu to Lukla by flight and trek to Phakding

The first day of the trek begins with a majestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla which is regarded as the gateway of the Everest Region. You will be able to see the wonderful landscapes, green hills, and view of the Himalayas. After reaching Lukla we will meet the team members and start to walk to Phakding, crossing beautiful dense forests filled with the national flower rhododendron flower. By following the Dudh Koshi River we will reach phakding. Spend your night in a Guesthouse.

Day 02: Trek to Namche Bazaar from Phakding

The second day of our journey begins. Start to walk and reach the small village Monjo following the wonderful trail. you will enter the Sagarmatha National Park and trek through the green forests. While continuing the walk you will reach the beautiful Sherpa village. Spend your night in the Guesthouse.

Day 03: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar

Acclimatization is necessary for a safe and enjoyable journey. Today is the rest day so that you can adjust to the increasing altitude. You can explore the Sherpa village and visit the Sherpa Museum and learn about their culture. You can hike to the Everest View Hotel as you can witness the Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar at Guesthouse.

Day 04: Trek to Tengboche

Today you will be moving forward towards Tengboche by following the Dudh Koshi River with the majestic views of mountains like Mt. Everest, and Mt.Nuptse. Crossing the suspension bridge of Dudh Koshi River you need to walk for approximately for 2 hrs. to reach Tengboche. Explore the monastery located in the Khumbu region. Stay overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 05: Trek to Dingboche form Tengboche

After having breakfast at Tengboche we will start our trek by crossing lots of suspension bridges. Along the trails, you will be able to see beautiful mountains monasteries. While moving forward you will be able to reach a beautiful village filled with barley, buckwheat, and potato. Finally, you will reach Dingboche. Stay overnight in Guesthouse.

Day 06: Acclimatization day at Dingboche

Day 07: Trek to Lobuche

After waking early in the morning, you will have breakfast and move towards Lobuche it will be more challenging as you move further to the higher attitudes. After walking for some time, you will reach Lobuche. Stay overnight at the Guesthouse.

Day 08: Trek to Gorakshep from Lobuche

This is the main day of the trek you will walk along the Khumbu glacier. After reaching Gorakshep you will be able to enjoy the lunch and able to view Mt. Everest.After having lunch head to Everest Base Camp. This would be an amazing experience when you are at the base of the world’s highest mountain. Spend your time by seeing the eye-catching Khumbu icefall. Spend some time at the Everest Base camp and descend back to Gorakshep and stay at Guesthouse in Gorakshep.

Day 09: Hike to Kalapathar and head back to Pheriche

After having breakfast we will be heading to the famous viewpoint Kalapathar, from where you will get to view the wonderful sunrise. You will view Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, and many other mountains. After enjoying and creating memories that last lifelong we will head back to Pheriche. Stay overnight in the Guesthouse.

Day 10: Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar

Day 11: Trek to Lukla from Namche Bazaar

Day 12: Flight back to Kathamadu

This would be the last day of the trip early in the morning you will be transferred to the airport so that you can fly back to Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu you may rest for some time and explore the world heritage sites of Kathmandu listed by UNESCO. At night there will be a farewell dinner which will be organized by Leaf Holidays Treks and Expedition.
