Trip Overview of Chitwan National Park Tour

Chitwan national park is one of the world heritages of Nepal. It is located in Teari region at the Subarnapur. It covers about 932 sq km (360 sq mi) and it was established in 1973 and listed world heritage in 1984. It’s also called as the heart of the jungle. We can find out 700 species of wildlife and a not yet fully surveyed number of butterfly, moth and insect species. Apart from king cobra and rock python, 17 other species of snakes, starred tortoise and monitor lizards occur. The Narayani-Raptis River system, their small tributaries and myriads of oxbow lakes is habitat for 113 recorded species of fish and mugger crocodiles. In the early 1950 s, about 235 gharials occurred in the Narayani River.

Chitwan national park is one of the best areas for touring for 3 to 4 days. Climate condition is a ropical monsoon climate with high humidity all through the year. We can find out 700 species of wildlife and a not yet fully surveyed number of butterfly, moth and insect species. Apart from king cobra and rock python, 17 other species of snakes, starred tortoise and monitor lizards occur.

In the early 1950s, about 235 gharials occurred in the Narayani River. Mammals like bengal tiger, one horned rhino, wild boar, samabr deer, hog deer etc as more throughout the jungle safari. The Tharus in colourful traditional costumes, unique in their disparity with the common mode of dress all over Nepal, are sure to captivate you.

Detail Itinerary of Chitwan National Park Tour

Day 01: Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park

We will start our journey from kathmandu after taking breakfast at hotel and we will catch bus from thamel at 7 am. We have to travel arround 5 hours kathmandu to chitwan. We can enjoy the views from short road trip. After going to chitwan we will have lunch and get some rest. We will leave for the sightsighing on chitwan and short safari on chitwan national we can even view the museum. After the long day visit we will return to hotel and enjoy our dinner. At that day we can enjoy the cultural dances of tharu community.

Day 02: Sightseeing of Chitwan National Park

Waking up for the second day tour we will have luch and watching early morning bird and Ox and cart trip to visit local areas leaving for the jeep safari or the elephant safari we can found out different wild animals, herbs, shurbs in jungle. After the jungle safari, Cannoning,boating on rapti river and we will enjoy the river side and viewing sun set. Returning back to hotel for night for dinner.

At the third day of your tour, we will take lunch and catch up 9:30 am bus on hotel and returning to Kathmandu.
