An excessive frame of black rock elevated over 22,000 feet, Mount Kailash is the world’s most recognized holy place. Mount Kailash is sacred in four religions: Bon Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism. Kailash is visited by thousands of Pilgrims each year.
The mountain was already renowned before the great Hindu epics, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata were written. Indeed, Kailash is so intensely entrenched in the mythologies of ancient Asia. That it was perhaps a sacred place another era, another refinement, now long gone and forgotten.
Mount Kailash is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva. According to myth, unforgettable Shiva lives at the top of a Kailash, where he spends his time practicing yogic austerities, making blissful love with his divine wife -Parvati, and smoking ganja. For a Hindu, to make the laborious pilgrimage to Kailash and have a darshan of Shiva’s abode is to achieve relief from the clutches of ignorance and misbelief.
We will begin our journey from Kathmandu and end up in Kathmandu. We will be flying towards Lhasa, visit Lhasa and after that, we will be heading towards mount Kailash. This fourteen-day trip leads you to the beautiful Lhasa city and the very sacred Mount Kailash.
