The Kailash pilgrimage tour is a spiritual journey that takes you on a 10-day expedition to one of the holiest sites in the world – Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar. This pilgrimage is perfect for those who have limited time or may find it difficult to travel long distances due to health issues. Operating regularly from May to September, this tour is designed to make it easier for you to experience the spirituality and divinity of these sacred sites.
The journey begins in the bustling city of Lucknow, located in northern India. From here, you will travel to Nepalgunj, a commercial border town in Nepal, which is the starting point for your Kailash visit. The journey from Lucknow to Nepalgunj takes approximately four hours by car, making it a convenient and accessible option for people from all over the world.
Throughout the tour, you will participate in various religious rituals that hold great significance in the Hindu religion. These rituals include Puja, Hawan in Mansarovar, MansarovarParikrama, and KailashParikrama. These are the core attractions of the tour and are designed to help you connect with your spirituality and experience the divine nature of these holy sites.
One of the most important aspects of the tour is the visit to the two great lakes – Mansarovar and Rakshas Tal. These lakes hold immense importance in the Hindu religion and are considered to be the water tanks to the entrance of all Hindu temples. Mansarovar physically takes the shape of the sun and symbolizes light. It is believed to have been created to show the influence of the mind of Brahma, the Hindu god. Bathing in the lake and drinking its water is considered to be a purification process for Hindus and is believed to help one achieve heavenly bliss or Brahma. In fact, it is said that just one drop of water from the peaceful and beautiful Mansarovar is enough to set one free from the sins of a lifetime.
If you are arriving through Kathmandu, you will join the group in Nepalgunj. This is the best known gateway to Kailash if you choose the helicopter route. The helicopter option is a great way to experience the beauty and spirituality of these holy sites, especially for those who may find it difficult to travel long distances by foot.
Overall, the Kailash pilgrimage tour is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that offers a unique opportunity to connect with your spirituality and experience the divine nature of these holy sites. With its convenient departure dates and accessibility, this tour is designed to make it easier for you to embark on this sacred journey and discover the true essence of spirituality.
