Preparations in Kathmandu
Upon landing in Kathmandu, take a day to rejuvenate and gear up for the journey. The following day, our flight departs for Nepalgunj, a town nestled in the western Terai plains. This paves the way for an adventure like no other, a journey into the heart of spirituality.
A Religious Sojourn in the Mid-Hills
Embark on a religious tour around the mid-hills of Mt. Kailash, guided by the expertise of Leaf Holiday treks. This Heli-tour promises not just scenic vistas but also a profound connection with divinity, leading you to blissful happiness and spiritual enlightenment.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 Meters)
Day 02: Kathmandu Temples Tour
Day 03: Fly to Nepalgunj. (You can join from Lucknow to Nepalgunj as well)
Day 04: Nepalgunj – Simikot (2900 Meters) – Hilsa (3700 Meters) -Taklakot (3900 Meters)
Day 05: Taklakot-Free Day for Acclimatization.
Day 06: Taklakot to Mansarovar (4558 Meters, 120 Km, 03 Hours Drive)
Day 07: Mansarovar to Darchen (4575 Meters – 40 Km, 01 Hour Drive)
Day 08: Darchen to Yamadwar and Trek to Derapuk (4900 Meters -13 Km, 05-06 Hours Trek)
Day 09: Derapuk to Zuthulpuk via Drolma La Pass (5600 Meters, 22 Km, 8-9 hours Trek).
Day 10: End Kailash Kora. Drive back to Taklakot.
Day 11: Taklakot-Hilsa-Simikot
Day 12: Simikot-Nepalgunj-Kathmandu (You can drive Nepalgunj to Lucknow as well, if you have a flight from Lucknow).
Day 13: Final Departure.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 Meters)
Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu Nepal, Leaf Holidays Trek Pvt. Ltd’s representative will be on standby at the airport to welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. Check into your hotel, refresh and in the evening you will be given a short briefing about your holy tour. Your Dinner will be at the Hotel with an overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu -Temples Tour.
After your breakfast at the hotel we will drive out for a sightseeing in Kathmandu, this will include Pashupatinath Temple (The Biggest Hindu Temple), Guheshwori Devi and the Sleeping Vishnu at (Buddhanilkantha), and after our temple tour we drive back to the hotel. We have Lunch and the rest of your time is free to do your own things. We will have Dinner and an overnight at our Hotel.
Day 03: Fly to Nepalgunj. (You can join from Lucknow to Nepalgunj as well)
After a great day in Kathmandu, we take a morning flight to Nepalgunj by a regular plane. Upon arrival at Nepalgunj airport we will be transferred to our hotel. In the evening, our tour guide will do some briefing about the Helicopter tour. Overnight at your hotel
Day 04: Nepalgunj - Simikot (2900 Meters) - Hilsa (3700 Meters) -Taklakot (Purang) (3900 Meters)
After an early morning breakfast we proceed towards Hilsa from Simikot by helicopter. On landing at Hilsa we walk up to Chinese check post that is situated at a distance of approx. half a km. across the river. We then cross the bridge on foot where we will meet our Sherpas to take care of the luggage. After all the formalities, we board the awaiting Jeeps which will take us to Purang (Taklakot). We stay overnight at Purang which is a small border town of Tibet. You can also buy things of personal needs here in the local market. Overnight at our guest house
Day 05: Acclimatization in Taklakot
Today, we will rest in Taklakot for acclimatization reasons. Before making any further journey to the higher elevation, our body should be acclimatized properly with the atmosphere at high altitudes. So, it is significantly important to spend a day here for your health. We can also arrange a short visit to the Khojarnath temple which is an optional program or you may leisurely walk around the city on your own and visit the ruins of ancient Taklakot. Day 06: Taklakot (Purang) to Mansarovar (4558 Meters, 120 Km, 03 Hours Drive)
After our breakfast, we leave Taklakot in a private jeep for Lake Mansarovar. The drive to Lake Mansarovar takes about two to three hours with gradual driving as we enjoy the scenic landscapes of the holy land.
On the way we will have a short break in Rakshas Taal where we can take some pictures and enjoy the sceneries. After a short break, we will continue our drive to Lake Mansarovar. Then after a holy dip and lunch, we will depart for a circumambulation around the lake Mansarovar in private jeeps. This takes approximately 3 hours. Overnight at guest our house
Day 07: Mansarovar to Darchen (4575 Meters - 40 Km, 01 Hour Drive)
In the morning we will have a special puja ceremony and bathe in Manasarovar. We will find a special point to take a holy dip in Manasarovar and do our puja ritual of lord Shiva. We will visit the picturesque Chiu Monastery on the North West shore of the lake, with the imposing sight of Mount Kailash in the background. Also we enjoy the good views of Mount Gurlamandata in south of Lake Manasarovar and view of Rakshas Lake (Lahang Tso) from a top of Chiu Hill. We then drive to Darchen. Overnight stay at hotel in Darchen
Day 08: Darchen to Yamadwar and Trek to Derapuk (4900 Meters -12 Km, 05-06 Hours Trek)
After an early breakfast we drive to TarbocheYamdwar for Darshan & Start our Parikrama (Those who do not wish to go for parikrama can go back to Darchen after puja at Yamdwar). It is about 12 Km and it will take 05 to 06 Hours. We will provide you packed Lunch boxes in between. Overnight stay at Guest House in Derapuk
Day 09: Derapuk to Zuthulpuk via Drolma La Pass (4760m Meters, 22 Km, 8-9 hours Trek).
Today we will wake up very early in the morning and have breakfast then we will start our trek. This is the hardest day but Holiest day too of your pilgrimage trip with Drolma-La pass at 18600 Ft between two valleys. Yamasthal should be crossed to reach the Shiva sthal, this is the symbolical death, and pilgrimage where you leave old clothes, spin of hair or a drop of Blood in hope, that terrible Yamraja (The master of death) will pay attention to these signs and will allow the Yatries (travelers) to be born in spirit to pass Drolma-La. After crossing Dolma-La we descend steeply to get to the banks of the Lham-chu Khir River. We will follow the river and get to the Khando Sangam La facing the eastern side of Mt. Kailash. Sometime after that, we will arrive at the village of Zuthulpuk. In between we will provide packed lunch. We then have dinner at the guest house. Overnight stay at a Guest House in Zuthulpuk
Day 10: End Kailash Kora. Drive back to Taklakot (Purang).
Today, we finish our trek/Kora near Darchen where our vehicles will be waiting to fetch you and transfer you to Taklakot via the same route. Overnight at our guest house
Day 11: Taklakot-Hilsa-Simikot
Today, early morning after breakfast, we will drive back to Sher village then trek down to Hilsa which takes approx. 45 minutes and then we take our Helicopter flight to Simikot . overnight stay at Simikot
Day 12: Simikot-Nepalgunj-Kathmandu (You can drive Nepalgunj to Lucknow as well, if you have a flight from Lucknow).
Today we will have a flight from simikot to nepalgunj and then from Nepalgunj we will have a flight to Kathmandu. (You can drive Nepalgunj to Lucknow as well, if you have a flight from Lucknow).
Day 13: Final Departure for home sweet home
After Breakfast at our Hotel, we will check out and Leaf holidays Trek Pvt. Ltd’s representative will take you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure. We are happy to have been given the opportunity to serve you our respected guests from India.
