Mount Kailash Tour Package for 2024

Let’s begin the Mount Kailash Tour a journey filled with awe-inspiring mountains known as the gateway to heaven. This package is separated for 15 days and your journey starts from the capital of Nepal Kathmandu. Mount Kailash is considered a pilgrimage site for Hindus, Jains, Buddhists, and Bon. It is believed that it is the ladder that leads to heaven.

Mount Kailash is considered the holy adobe of Lord Shiva and Parvati. So the devotees believe that Mount Kailash has the powerful energy of gods. Shiva devotees visit this place for the parikrama around the sacred mountain. Similarly, the Buddhists believe that Mount Kailash is regarded as the adobe of Chakrasamvara or Demchoka. Jains believe that it is where their first Guru Rishavadeva achieved enlightenment.

Our Mount Kailash Tour package is separated for 15 days from the capital city Kathmandu and takes you to western Tibet, which is 649 km from Nepal. Mount Kailash is situated at a height of 6638m, people say it’s the ladder that leads to heaven.

According to Vishnu Purana, Lord Shiva used to meditate on the mountain. The four different sides of Mount Kailash represent the face of lord Shiva in gold, silver, crystal, and gem.

Lake Manasarovar is situated at the foot of Kailash which is round. According to mythology, Lake Manasarovar is where goddess Parvati gave birth to Lord Ganesh and bathed in this water. Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar have spiritual significance, so pilgrimages visit yearly to participate in the Leaf Holidays Treks and Expedition in 2024.

It is believed that by performing Kailash Parikrama a person’s sins will be washed away and similarly if you perform parikrama around Lake Manasarovar your wishes will come true. There is a saying that devotees who complete Kora 108 times will be reborn in the pure lands of heaven.

The Kora is almost about 53 km which will take 2 and a half days and fall on days 11 to 13. The aura, the power, and the energy of this place are just overwhelming. Please get in touch with us if you are waiting for the opportunity to explore KAILASH.

Our Journey begins by crossing the Nepal-Tibet Border in Kerung. After you move forward the journey will take you to Darchen via Lake Mansarovar. The main trek begins from Darchen. Crossing Drolma Pass at a height of (5630m) is quite difficult. After crossing Drolma Pass you will reach Zuthulpuk. How does our Journey begin?

This spiritual journey begins in Kathmandu the capital city of Nepal. You will spend 3 to 4 days exploring the beautiful city and wait for a visa.

After obtaining the necessary documents to enter Tibet, our trip begins by reaching Timmure. After that, we will spend an acclimatization day at Kerung. As our journey continues we will drive to Lake Mansarovar via Saga. We will perform holy baths and puja the next morning and move towards Darchen where our parikrama begins. After completing the kora we will move back to Kathmandu via Kerung.

Best Season:

The best season or time to be part of the Kailash Manasarovar Tour is basically from May to half of October. The temperature may decrease from 8 to 9 degrees Celsius but you will be able to view clear skies with wonderful visibility. We will experience heavy rainfall during July and August in Nepal but there won’t be any problem in Tibet.

It’s impossible to travel during the winter season cause Lake Mansarovar might turn frozen and Mount Kailash will be filled with heavy snow.

Therefore, the main season to visit Kailash is from May to early October every year. Full moon days are considered the sacred time to visit Kailash.

How to Prepare for the trip?

Mount Kailash Tour takes you to more than 5000m altitude. The highest point of the trip is Dolma La Pass situated at 5630m. People willing to travel must have strong strength and determination.

Those who have not taken part in any of the trekking activities can also be a part of the Kailash Tour. As Mount Kailash is considered a spiritual place many pilgrims travel here during the summer season.

Your health must be good and you must have a positive mindset for the compilation of this journey. We suggest you practice a walk daily before the Kailash trip and practice some yoga and medication as well.

Difficulty:

Mount Kailash Tour is quite a challenging journey both physically and mentally. Due to the high altitude that keeps on varying.

Additionally, you may face hotel difficulties during this trip in some of the places on Manasarovar, Derapuk, and Zuthulpuk. The temperature difference between day and night keeps on varying from high to low so it may be quite difficult.

During the daytime, solar radiation is strong due to certain drops in temperature. Due to this, you may be able to face certain snowfalls. We have designed our itinerary by separating a day for acclimatization in Kerung. So there would be a low chance of facing altitude sickness.

To overcome all of the problems our team members will take care of the difficulties that you may face during your tour.

Altitude Sickness:

The major problem during the Kailash tour is due to altitude sickness as most of the places you will visit would be 4,000-4,500m altitude.

Most of the travelers suffer from altitude sickness as they enter Tibet. That’s the reason we have separated acclimatization day in Kerung. If you suffer from headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, and shortness of breath these are the symptoms of altitude sickness.

To prevent altitude sickness, you should choose a program that gradually acclimatizes from time to time. The next thing is you need to stay hydrated and avoid drinking alcohol during the evening time. You need to stay warm and eat properly so that you can maintain calories and vitamins.

To get rid of altitude sickness we provide you with Diamox from Kerung till the completion of the trip. If you feel uncomfortable please notify our guide he will take care of your health accordingly.

Local operators provide affordable prices compared to international ones. They deliver their own experience which supports the local business and communities. Local guides bring plenty of knowledge about the culture of the place, history, and environment that enhances your trekking experiences. They provide more flexible itineraries and can handle unexpected situations as well.

International Operators:

International operators charge higher prices due to their global reputation and large-scale marketing. They often provide more standardized service, which can be difficult for first-time trekkers.

Accommodation on the EBC ranges from basic tea houses to luxury lodges. Tea houses are simple lodges that provide basic amenities like beds, shared bathrooms, and dining areas. Luxury lodges offer more comfortable private rooms, attached bathrooms, and better facilities. It’s essential to make bookings, especially during peak trekking seasons to ensure the best options. Most accommodation offers stunning views of the mountains.

The meals on the trek include local Nepali dishes which include dal bhat (Lentil soup and rice), momos(dumplings), noodles, pasta, and some of the bakery items. Tea and water are found almost everywhere. You may carry water purification tablets to save costs and reduce plastic waste. You may avoid eating meats at higher altitudes due to freshness concerns.
