Kailash Mansarovar Yatra From Nepal:
We have three options from Nepal to Kailash which are:
Kailash Manasarovar Yatra via Lhasa:
This is one of the best and most popular tours to explore Tibet. This is 14 Nights 15 days journey. Almost after 2-hour flight from Kathmandu, you’ll reach Lhasa. After exploring Lhasa for 2 days we will drive to Gyantse towards Xigatse. Then we will move forward to Saga, Lake Manasarovar, and Darchen and Begin our Parikrama for 2 and half days.
After reaching Darchen we will begin hiking to Dirapuk Monastery, cross the highest pass Dolma La Pass, and move towards Zuthulpuk. From here we will be moving towards Darchen driving towards Saga concluding our Kailash Manasarovar Yatra via Lhasa and flying back to Kathmandu.
Mount Kailash Overland Tour via Kerung:
Another option is to travel to Kailash Yatra from Nepal by road and reach Kerung. After spending almost 3 to 4 days in Kathmandu for visa processing we drive to Syabrubesi. The next day we will cross the Kerung border.
Then our next stop will lead us to the saga. From Saga, it takes a day to reach Mount Kailash. This route is cheaper than the Mount Kailash Overland Tour Via Kerung. The tour excludes the cost of Lhasa so it’s cheaper.
Kailash Heli Tour Via Simikot:
If you have less time you can choose this tour The tour begins with a domestic flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj.
The next day, you will take a flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot and fly from Simikot to Hilsa. After that, we will begin the drive to Darchen, your Kailash tour begins perform Lake Mansarovar kora, and begin your hike from Dirapuk to Zuthulpuk crossing the Dolma-La-Pass.
Here our journey ends we will move to Talkot and our trip ends with a domestic flight from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu.
Difficulty:
Due to the temperature changes during the day and night time, you may face altitude sickness. But we and our team are there to take care of everything. You just need to be comfortable believe in yourself and be in good physical condition.
Best Season to Visit Kailash Mansarovar:
The best season for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is from May to the first half of October. It is possible during the spring and autumn seasons only. During winter, the Mansarovar Lake freezes and Mount Kailash is filled with thick snow.
Permits and Regulations:
A Tibet visa or Permit is essential to visit any place in Tibet including Mount Kailash. The Tibet Tourism Bureau will issue the visa and provide us. Please book Kailash Manasarovar Yatra at least 2 months early as we require time for visa processing. You need to send a scanned copy of your passport and photographs, and then we will apply for a Tibet permit which will be issued within 8 to 10 days.
Food and Accommodation:
We have specialized in Kailash tours since 1999, so we take care of all the necessary during your Kailash trip. After we begin our Kailash Yatra, we will keep you in the best hotel at Kerung and Saga where you will find facilities like hot showers and private bathrooms.
But almost after reaching the saga, the accommodations are quite simple filled with 4 or 5 beds on a sharing basis.
Our kitchen team will go with us and We serve pure veg meals three times a day. Tea or coffee will be served during at morning. During the kora as well we will be serving you a packed lunch.
Transportation:
At the beginning of the trip while moving from Kathmandu to Kerung.After entering Tibet we will be changing the bus to a private bus that will drive you to the hotel. After reaching Saga, you will be driving on a jeep till Darchen, and after that, Kora begins.
