Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1300 m)
Onto your arrival our company representatives will greet you at the Tribhuwan International Airport and escort you to the hotel for check-in and stay overnight. You will have a rest at the hotel. Overnight at Hotel

Day 02: Half-day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu-the city of temple
After breakfast, you will do a half day long sightseeing in Kathmandu including Pashupatinath temple, Mata Guheswori temple & Budhanilkantha temple. After lunch we will have a time for final preparation for Kailash pilgrimage Yatra i.e. checking the equipment which will be used during the Yatra. If you need to buy a few things or rent something, our staff will assist you. In the evening, Chinese visa and Tibet permit will be handed over and brief you about the trip (Nandi Kora). Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Nyalam (3750 m) (150 km)
Today is the starting day of our Yatra (tour). We leave for Nyalam early in the morning. Nearly after four hours long drive we reach at Frindship Bridge (Border Bridge between Nepal and China). On the way to Nylam we will have many beautiful and religious places such as the biggest Lord Shiva statue at Saga in between Bhaktapur and Kavre district, Dhulikhel view tour from which we will catch a spectacular mountain views and other beautiful hill valleys. We pass the Bhotekoshi Bungee jumping spot at the last resort and hot spring water spot at Tatopani which has its own religious value. We catch different waterfalls views as well. After reaching at the boarder we will have our lunch and we do some custom works there for Kailash. From here we walk for about 10 minutes to cross Friendship Bridge and meet our Tibetan guide and vehicle. After all the immigration and custom formalities at the Chinese check post at Jhangbu, our journey continues for another 35 km which can take almost one and half hours through the up-winding road to Nyalam with beautiful scenery. Then, you will be transferred to the guest house in Nyalam (3700m). We stay free and spend overnight here. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. O/N at Guest House

Day 04: Nyalam – day free for acclimatization
Today, we do acclimatization at Nyalam. After breakfast we leave for short hike which is in preparation for Kailash Parikrama and it helps us to acclimatize fast. After then we take lunch at the same guest house and we can do some religious shopping at Nylam during the rest of time. Overnight at Nyalam guest house including Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 05: Nyalam – Dongba (4600 m) (390 km)
After breakfast, we drive to Dongba passing through many beautiful but traditional villages and camps of yak herders. We can see many snow-capped mountains such as Sisapangma (8081m) in China, Guari Shankar mountain range in the Nepal side and many other boarder land mountains in our far south from Lalungla pass (Nyalam pass) which is the first highest pass (5100 m) in our yatra. We will see a spectacular flying prayer flags and praying cards at Lalungla pass. But most of the time, we will be driving on plains, hence it is a comfortable drive. On the way, we will visit Fikichhu lake and Barmaputra River-a holy river. Overnight at guest house in Dongba including Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 06: Dongba – Mansarovar (4558 m) (277 km)
After taking early breakfast we will be ready for the longest driving day. We- nearly in late afternoon- can have first view of Holy Mt. Kailash and Lake Mansarovar. Hore (Chhersakhang) and the starting point of Manasarovar kora (parikrama) – a small village is situated near Holy Mansarovar Lake. Holy Mansarovar (14950 ft/4558m) – the highest lake of fresh water with turquoise complexion in the world is full of fishes and swans. Holy Mt. Kailash, Mt. Gurula-Mandala, Lake Rakshash are lying on its surrounding. The region is considered rich for gold and other mines, hot springs and hundreds of wild living creatures. Overnight at Chui Gompa including Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 07: Mansarovar – Tarchen (4600 m) (40 km)
Holy Mansarovar - the lake of compassion, tranquility and bliss may take in the real spiritual world. After the morning Puja (praying) with bathing, we will move towards the Holy Mansarovar Parikrama by vehicle after lunch and continue drive towards Tarchen (Darchen). We catch many beautiful views of Nandi Hill, Asthapath and Mt. Kailsah very closely. We also view the Rakshas Lake (poison lake) on the way. Tarchen is considered as a base camp for Holy Kailash Parikrama. During the auspicious pilgrimage time, this place will be flooded with pilgrims with hundreds of tents all around. Today, in the evening, we prepare for the Kailash inner kora with required materials and equipments. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Overnight at Kailash

Day 08: Tarchen – Yamadwar (7 km drive/13 km walk) – Dirapuk (4909 m.)
After breakfast, we head towards Yamadwar (Tarboche) which is the starting point of Kailash Parikrama. Tarboche is also well known as an outer “Asthapath”. It is one of the exciting days walking along the beautiful rocky cliffs; waterfalls with some clouds in the clear blue sky make you feel that Great God Shiva is everywhere with tons of blessing to you. We see Ganesh Parwat on its' side. Time to time the north face of Kailash Parbat will be kept on appearing. Overnight at Guest house

Day 09: Trek to Zuthulpuk (4760 m) (18 km / hrs) - passing through East face Kuberknuda pass (5,700 m)
Today is the most challenging day in our Yatra. After breakfast, we trek to East face Kuberknuda pass (5,700 m) and then descending gradually to Zuthulpuk (4760m). Yamasthal should be crossed to reach the Shiva-sthal while your steps go towadrs the Kuberkunda pass with climbing ropes and other equipments. Once we reach on the top we see many spectacular views of the east face of Mt. kailash and the origin of the Uma River which is not possible from other spot. From the top, we also can catch the close view of Nanthi Hill, Asthapath and more. Then we descend towards Zuthulpuk passing moving rocks way. By late afternoon we will arrive in Zuthulpuk- the cave of Miracles, the great ascetic Milerappa is supposed to have preformed miracles here. Overnight at Gust house, including Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 10: Zuthulpuk – Tarchen (Darchen) (10 km / 4-5 hrs)
After breakfast, we explore the caves, temples and shrine around Milarepa cave in the morning free time. After walking 3 hours, all the driving crew will be waiting for your arrival. By late afternoon we will be at your lodge in Darchen and rest because we have to prepare for the Kailash Inner kora from the next day. Overnight at Guest house including Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 11: Explore Serlung Gumba and Hike to Sapta Rishi Cave – Atmalingam
After morning breakfast we hike to Asthapath, explore Serlung Gumba and have auspicious view of Mt. Kailash. We have another option to take horse and personal helper from Darchen. Today we do Kailash Nandi kora with adventurous hiking to Sapta Rishi cave and atmalingam. We cross high pass between Nandi and mount Kailash. Our supported team will fixed rope if needed. You are required to take personal helper and enough liquate as well as dry foods. After exploring, we come back to Darchen. Overnight at Guest house including Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 12: Third Day Kailash Inner Kora & walking to Nandi kora to Darchen
After breakfast, we catch difficult walking route leads with rockery and sleeper. We will have enough water and dry foods on the way to this glorious and dangerous walking. After Nandi kora we back to Darchen. Overnight at Hotel

Day 13: Drive from Darchen to Saga
After morning breakfast we drive to Saga. We will see many beautiful villages, gumpas, stupas and natural beauties on the way to Saga. Overnight at Guest House

Day 14: Drive from Saga (Dongba) to Nyalam (376 km) 7-8 hrs.
Early morning, we will depart from Saga and drive to Nyalam (376 km). Overnight at Guesthouse includingdinner at Nyalam

Day 15: Drive From Nylam to Kathmandu (156 km) 6-7 hrs
Early morning, we will depart from Nyalam and drive to border town of Zhangmu where we will clear customs and continue our journey to Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel including dinner

Day 16: Final Departure from Kathmandu
Nearly 2 hours before your scheduled flight, our company representative will take you to the airport. We are sure; you will back to your home taking amazing and holy experience of Nepal.
